उत्पाद वर्णन

Anastronat 1mg Tablet is used alone or with other treatments, such as surgery or radiation,to treat early breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It can also be used as the first line treatment of advanced breast cancer that has spread within the breast or to other areas of the body.

  1. What is Anastrozole?

    • Anastrozole is a medication classified as an aromatase inhibitor. It works by reducing the production of estrogen in the body, which can help slow or stop the growth of certain types of breast cancer tumors that rely on estrogen to grow.
  2. What is Anastrozole used for?

    • Anastrozole is primarily used to treat hormone receptor-positive breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It may be used as adjuvant therapy (after surgery) to reduce the risk of cancer recurrence or as first-line therapy in advanced or metastatic breast cancer.
  3. How does Anastrozole work?

    • Anastrozole works by inhibiting the enzyme aromatase, which is responsible for converting androgens (male hormones) into estrogen (female hormone). By reducing estrogen levels in the body, Anastrozole helps slow down or stop the growth of estrogen-dependent breast cancer cells.
  4. What are the common side effects of Anastrozole?

    • Common side effects of Anastrozole may include hot flashes, joint pain or stiffness, fatigue, headache, nausea, and mood changes. Some women may also experience bone thinning (osteoporosis) or fractures with long-term use.
  5. How is Anastrozole taken?

    • Anastrozole is usually taken orally in the form of tablets, typically once a day. It's important to follow the dosage and administration instructions provided by your healthcare provider. Anastrozole can be taken with or without food.
  6. Are there any important precautions or interactions to be aware of?

    • Yes, there are several precautions and potential interactions to consider. Anastrozole may interact with certain medications, so it's important to inform your doctor about all medications, supplements, and herbal products you are taking. Additionally, Anastrozole is not recommended for use in premenopausal women or women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  7. How effective is Anastrozole in treating breast cancer?

    • Anastrozole has been shown to be effective in reducing the risk of cancer recurrence and improving survival rates in postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive breast cancer. It may also be effective in slowing down the progression of advanced or metastatic breast cancer.
  8. What should I do if I miss a dose of Anastrozole?

    • If you miss a dose of Anastrozole, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one. If you're unsure about what to do, consult your healthcare provider or pharmacist.
